Conneq Infrastructure Services (Australia) Pty Ltd has awarded Jobpac International Systems Pty Ltd (JIS) a 105 named user contract for the implementation and support of Jobpac Business Intelligence. This contract is a significant win for Jobpac and notably to one of the top 100 C&E companies in Australia.
Jobpac Business Intelligence helps an organisation unlock and access corporate information held in Jobpac and other systems, providing a consolidated view of all business information whilst delivering sophisticated reporting and analytics. This offering is purpose built for Jobpac and includes complete integrated security and data access controls creating a true end to end solution for the construction and engineering industry.
Jobpac Business Warehouse powers the BI Solution
The Jobpac Business Warehouse (JBW) is the ‘engine’ that powers the BI solution. This is achieved by combining data from multiple sources using the Jobpac Data Services and loading into the JBW. Guy Freeland, Chief Financial Officer at Conneq explained the significance of the JBW in their decision to purchase Jobpac BI. “JIS’ investment of its own IP into a specialised BI function and pre-configured data warehouse meant that we achieved significant time and resource efficiencies compared to undertaking the developments of a similar product by ourselves. This purpose built platform enables us to combine and view data from Jobpac and other source systems providing us with data integrity and ultimately one version of the truth.”
Gavin Quinn, Financial Controller, was also part of the Conneq evaluation team, “The Jobpac BI tools are very impressive. The ability to drill down to transactional level and the functionality to easily replicate the same information across different levels of the business is an important advantage. Additionally we found the BI tools very intuitive and easy to use. Creating customised reports is quick and delivery can be in multiple formats. Jobpac BI will give us automated, consistent reporting ensuring greater visibility of our business.”
Steve Ironside, Chairman of JIS commented on the introduction of Jobpac BI. “We continually strive to provide the best solutions for the Construction & Engineering market place. The launch of our Business Intelligence solution is a clear indication of our ongoing investment and efforts to improve our client’s experience with Jobpac. Our successful win of the Conneq contract is just the beginning of a growing Jobpac BI business.”
Conneq Jobpac BI Implementation
The implementation of Jobpac BI went live in April 2010. The Jobpac BI system and JBW was implemented in only twelve days. Further customisations were then added to the JBW and new reports developed with the final delivery on time and within budget. Gavin Quinn commented, “The fact that Jobpac has committed to a specialised BI team was a key selling point. They delivered on their commitments to implement the solution quickly and proved they fully understood our needs as well as demonstrating the expertise required to achieve our goals.”
